Description
Maxine “Max” Silverstone, nicknamed “Boxer,” works as an inspector in the Seven-O special crime unit. Her brash, tomboyish demeanor clashes with the composed rationality of her partner, Yuri Fujishiro, though Yuri recognizes a hidden warmth beneath Max’s hardened exterior.

Max’s current appearance—short, multicolored hair and a deliberately masculine style—stems from her vow to honor Connor, a transgender friend from high school. During their youth, Max was a reserved, academically inclined teen with a fondness for crafts and cute aesthetics. At their prom, Connor publicly came out by wearing a dress while Max donned a suit, sparking vicious backlash from peers. The harassment drove Connor to drug use and eventual disappearance after being barred from the event. This loss, compounded by societal cruelty, ignited Max’s shift into her bold, assertive persona, erasing traces of her former self.

The prom’s aftermath left Max with a deep-seated disdain for formal events, which she ties to Connor’s unraveling and her own embrace of toughness. Yet her work in Seven-O exposes a fiercely protective loyalty to justice and her team, underscoring a compassionate core that persists beneath her abrasive shell.
