OVA
Description
Falmelle Von Volger, known as Ginrei, is the daughter of Shizuma Drive co-creator Dr. Franken Von Volger. At age twelve, she survived the Bashtarle Tragedy by teleporting to safety with her father's assistant, Professor Go Gakujin. For years afterward, Ginrei believed only she and the Professor escaped the catastrophe.

She later joined the International Police Organization (IPO) as an Expert of Justice, adopting the alias Ginrei. Her IPO training honed her mastery of multiple martial arts, proficiency in marksmanship, and expertise in disguise. Typically clad in a distinctive white qipao, she operated as an IPO spy on missions including protecting the third Shizuma Drive sample and rescuing Dr. Shizuma in Nanjing. Her innate teleportation power carried a severe cost: each use accelerated the breakdown of her molecular structure, shortening her lifespan.

Ginrei formed a close, sisterly bond with Giant Robo's controller, Daisaku Kusama, acting as his protector and advisor. She strictly avoided using her teleportation ability unless absolutely necessary due to its life-draining effects. During the conflict with the BF Group, Ginrei discovered her brother Emmanuel (Genya) was alive, masquerading as their father through the "Eye of Volger" project. This revelation caused significant internal conflict as Genya sought revenge for their father's death, forcing Ginrei to question her loyalties.

In the final confrontation, Ginrei performed a mass teleportation of the IPO headquarters, Ryozanpaku, to St. Abbey. This act strained her power to its absolute limit, triggering the gradual disintegration of her body. Despite her deteriorating state, she confronted Genya aboard the Eye of Volger. As she attempted to destroy the Shizuma Drive sample, Genya shot and killed her. Her death became the catalyst for Genya's realization of his misguided quest for vengeance.

Three spin-off OVAs featured Ginrei in separate, non-canonical adventures. These episodic stories included comedic scenarios such as recovering a stolen dress, piloting a robot modeled after her likeness, and investigating a desert research team, emphasizing fan service and humor without advancing her core character arc.
