Haruo Onose drives a delivery truck and uncovers an unauthorized, mysterious cargo during a routine trip. Perceiving its peculiar nature and recalling his friend Kouji Sugimoto's skills as a mechanic and engineering student, he calls Kouji for assistance. They move the cargo together to Kouji's apartment for detailed inspection. Before departing, Haruo relays Shiori Nagura's message to Kouji about her waiting at the NSR building in Nishi-Shinjuku that evening. After helping relocate the cargo and delivering the message, he leaves and takes no further part in later events, where the cargo is identified as the MADOX-01 powered armor suit.
