OVA
Description
Eriko "Ellie" Kusumoto is the lead software developer and test ace pilot for the MADOX powered armor project. She wields direct operational expertise, having piloted the advanced MADOX-01 in a virtual reality combat simulation where she decisively defeated multiple tanks commanded by Lieutenant Kilgore within three minutes, showcasing her technical mastery and combat proficiency with the system she helped create.

Following the accidental release of the MADOX-01 into Tokyo, she actively joins the military recovery operation. Her involvement intensifies upon recognizing Lieutenant Kilgore's personal vendetta against the MADOX-01 and his willingness to cause significant collateral damage. To counter this threat and regain control, she pilots the earlier prototype model, the MADOX-00. While less advanced than the MADOX-01, the MADOX-00 retains substantial combat capability under her skilled control. Its primary armament is a retractable spike integrated into the left arm for close-quarters combat, and it can also utilize an external heavy cannon.

During the operation, she locates the missing MADOX-01, piloted by the trapped civilian mechanic Kouji Sugimoto. She engages him in combat across the cityscape to neutralize the immediate threat and assess the situation. After immobilizing his unit and learning he is an inexperienced civilian, not an enemy agent, she shifts her focus to containing Kilgore. Understanding Kouji lacks sufficient firepower, she provides him with the MADOX-00's heavy cannon for better defense. Subsequently, military forces immobilize her MADOX-00 unit during the confrontation, leaving Kouji to face Kilgore's tank in the final battle within a multi-story car park.

Her actions prioritize minimizing harm and resolving the crisis professionally, contrasting with Kilgore's destructive obsession. She exhibits a composed, strategic approach, leveraging her deep technical understanding of the MADOX systems and practical piloting skills to manage the threat. Information regarding her background, personal history, or involvement in other official media is confined to this single OVA.
