OVA
Description
Gime, known as Clive Lee in alternate adaptations, operates as a hunter-warrior in the Scrapyard. In the OVA, his appearance features a white mechanical body, red eyes, and a red mask obscuring his lower face, complemented by a large dark green circular hat and a matching long-sleeved coat with a high collar. Retractable forearm blades serve as his primary weapons.

His personality revolves around strict adherence to the hunter-warrior code and a professional rivalry with Alita, whom he resents for repeatedly securing bounties before he can. He views her as an annoyance yet a worthy opponent, displaying no remorse for his actions and treating targets purely as transactions.

Years prior to the main events, Gime executed Yugo’s brother after the latter constructed an illegal balloon to reach Zalem. He destroyed the balloon and killed the brother despite emotional pleas from his wife. Later, he stalks Yugo following a bounty placement.

During a confrontation at an abandoned factory, Gime ambushes and stabs Yugo. Alita intervenes, triggering a direct battle. Amid a storm, Alita redirects a lightning strike through Gime’s body, electrocuting him. This incinerates his organic components and clothing, leaving a charred endoskeleton that disintegrates.

In manga continuity (as Clive Lee), his history of killing both brothers remains unchanged. His appearance differs with a black circular hat and coat, and he employs the White Hot Palm technique to superheat his hands. His rivalry with Alita is less pronounced, emphasizing enforcement of the hunter-warrior code. He meets an identical end via lightning electrocution during his fight with Alita over Hugo.

The live-action film depicts Clive Lee briefly as a background hunter-warrior in Kansas Bar. He declines to hunt Grewishka due to the absence of an official bounty and avoids the subsequent brawl.
