TV-Series
Description
Cocoloo is the Princess of the Spirit World and one of five Platinum Princess candidates vying for the Eternal Tiara and its single wish. Chronologically 17, she remains physically trapped in the body of a 10-year-old due to an unexplained curse. Gentle, soft-spoken, and introverted, she often expresses disappointment in her perceived lack of presence, lamenting "I guess I really don't have much of a presence after all," especially when overshadowed by assertive companions like Yucie and Glenda. Her primary ambition focuses on forming meaningful friendships, setting her apart from other candidates with more defined wishes.
She possesses silver-gray hair styled to neck length, violet eyes, and wears spectacles. Her typical attire is a light blue top and white pants, though she can alter this using her Platinum Princess amulet. As a spirit being, she exhibits non-human traits, including phasing through solid objects like walls and immunity to physical harm, as attacks pass harmlessly through her intangible form. This intangibility also allows her to counterattack while impervious, demonstrated during confrontations with entities like Diabolos.
The daughter of the Spirit King, she initially struggles with self-confidence and expressing her voice within her realm. She forges a significant bond with Yucie, who becomes her first friend among the candidates after defending her from bullying; their relationship remains strong even after Cocoloo reveals her candidacy, devoid of rivalry. She also develops a close connection with Beth, the Fairy World princess, marked by mutual understanding and implied romantic feelings as their relationship deepens. Her steward, Chawoo, is a spirit residing in her shadow, offering dedicated support despite her occasional disapproval of his boastful tendencies.
Throughout her journey, Cocoloo evolves from reticent to more self-assured and supportive, largely influenced by Yucie's encouragement and collective experiences with the candidates. This emotional growth is reflected in the increasing brightness of her Platinum Princess pendant. She actively participates in gathering Crystal Flowers—fragments of the Eternal Tiara—scattered across multiple worlds, undertaking tasks like floral care, bakery assistance, and kindergarten supervision alongside her peers.
During the climax, she renounces her candidacy to support Yucie's wish to save Prince Arrow, fully aware non-selected candidates face erasure. Alongside Glenda, Elmina, and Beth, she requests the arbiter Maga Selent to erase Yucie's memories of them to facilitate her timely return. The group sketches a farewell portrait before vanishing. Following the restoration of the Eternal Tiara and Yucie's intervention, Cocoloo and the other candidates are restored. With the curse lifted and the Tiara fragmented once more, she resumes her education at the Princess Academy, embracing normal growth and sustained friendships.
