Description
Pan is a young angel-in-training dispatched to Earth by God to rectify a celestial mistake concerning Princess Sapphire's dual-gendered heart. Pan accidentally bestowed this extra heart before her birth, resulting in Sapphire possessing both a male "blue heart" and a female "pink heart." Consequently, Sapphire was raised as a prince to inherit Silverland's throne. Pan's core mission is retrieving Sapphire's surplus heart to correct his error and earn his wings, though Sapphire frequently resists his attempts to remove either heart.
Confined within a mortal form with restricted divine powers, Pan can only blow his trumpet loudly. He often fights villains physically despite his vulnerability, showing bravery that verges on recklessness. He remains loyally by Sapphire's side, helping her evade foes like Duke Duralumin and Baron Nylon who aim to expose her true gender. Pan also counters supernatural threats, including Satan and his daughter Hecate, using his angelic nature to frighten demonic beings.
Pan evolves from a bungling novice into a self-sacrificing guardian. When Madame Hell steals Sapphire's female heart, Pan's delayed intervention worsens Sapphire's identity crisis. Later, during Silverland castle's collapse, Pan suffers mortal wounds while securing Sapphire's safety. In his final act, he bargains with God, trading his life to resurrect Sapphire's parents. This sacrifice completes his divine mission and posthumously grants him his wings, signifying his redemption and fulfilled celestial duty.
