Description
Najica Hiiragi expertly balances dual roles: a renowned perfumer for CRI Cosmetics crafting her signature "The Day Series" fragrances, leveraging her extraordinary ability to identify over 500 scents, and a covert field agent for the corporation's secret intelligence division. Missions are triggered by the discreet arrival of a single rose, initiating operations hidden from the public and most within CRI.

As an agent, Najica exhibits exceptional marksmanship with her signature Stechkin APS pistol, employing non-lethal plastic bullets and a wooden holster that converts into a shoulder stock. She expertly pilots and remotely controls a custom-modified Mil Mi-35 Hind assault helicopter. Her operational skills encompass advanced hand-to-hand combat, infiltration tactics, and utilizing her heightened sense of smell for mission awareness. She prefers working alone, believing it ensures peak efficiency without reliance on others.

A pivotal shift occurs when Najica's initial mission retrieves the gynoid designated "ZZZ" or "Lila" from a bisexual countess. Her subsequent assignment to partner with Lila, identified as a Humaritt android, sparks significant skepticism. This skepticism extends to CRI's contracts with Shinba Industrial for recovering rogue Humaritts, especially as these androids often emerge within criminal or terrorist groups. Despite initial resistance and frustration due to Lila's social inexperience, Najica gradually develops trust in her partner. Their collaborative missions, focused on Humaritt recovery, progressively unveil the androids' origins and capabilities, challenging Najica's preconceptions about artificial life.

Throughout their partnership, Najica undergoes substantial evolution. Her initial coldness and tendency to blame Lila for difficulties transform into genuine care and mentorship. This dynamic forces Najica to repeatedly reassess her treatment of Lila, confronting questions about Lila's capacity for emotion and independent thought. Simultaneously, witnessing Lila's development and encountering other emotionally complex Humaritts prompts Najica's introspection regarding her own humanity and professional detachment. Their journey culminates with Najica supporting Lila's decision for independence, including adopting the male Humaritt Alpha, signifying Najica's acceptance of Lila's autonomy and the depth of their evolved bond.
