Anzuko Doumyouji, nicknamed Anko, is a human recurring antagonist. Driven by an obsessive compulsion to collect cats, she relentlessly targets Taruto after their first encounter, wielding a net as her primary capture tool. Her disruptive and forceful methods include trespassing across private lawns, damaging property by breaking belongings, and shoving people aside during her pursuits. This behavior fuels her desire to add specific cats, especially Taruto, to her extensive collection of felines and cat-themed objects. Despite her determination, her attempts to capture Taruto persistently fail, though she reportedly succeeds once. She also targets other cats like the wild Nougat, with similar lack of success.
Physically, Anzuko has dark brown hair, red eyes, and is an adult. Her personality is dramatic, determined, loud, and petty. She intensely likes cats (particularly Taruto and Nougat), cookies, and losing weight. She dislikes fatty foods, failing to capture desired cats, weight gain, and extended waiting periods.
Iori Monaka, Taruto's owner, harbors romantic feelings for her, but she shows no reciprocal interest. Her sole focus regarding Iori is his ownership of Taruto, whom he refuses to relinquish willingly, prompting her capture attempts. This obsession causes concern among Taruto's friends Charlotte, Chitose, and Kakipi, who actively protect him. Her family background includes a grandmother and a father.
Throughout the series, her role remains consistent, with no significant evolution or backstory development depicted. Her actions and motivations stay centered on her cat-collecting compulsion.
