Description
Cale, identified as Anubisu in Japanese sources, serves as the Darkness Demon General of the Dynasty. Born Sasaki Kujuurou on December 3, 1550, in Mutsu province (modern Aomori), he came from a low-ranking samurai lineage with a history of conflict against the Ezo. His childhood involved grueling agricultural labor, forging deep filial piety. This existence ended during warfare against the Date army, where he sustained a fatal battlefield wound. His potent bitterness and sense of duty at death rendered him vulnerable to Talpa's corruption, transforming him into a physically adolescent Dark Warlord.

His appearance features blue hair, blue-green eyes, and a cross-shaped scar over his left eye. As a Dark Warlord, he manifests in his Armor of Darkness, embodying winter and corruption through brown, black, and red coloring, a red cape, undergear, and design inspired by the Egyptian jackal deity. He wields a nodachi (Sword of Darkness) that absorbs light to intensify darkness and a tekko-kagi (three-bladed claw) on his left gauntlet. His signature attack, "Ankoku Cho Uhigiri" ("Black Lightning Slash"), weaponizes darkness.

His powers revolve around darkness manipulation: generating blinding snowstorms or indoor blackouts, creating illusory duplicates, rapid teleportation, freezing organic matter, and reviving the deceased under his control, fueled by absorbing light energy. Intense light exposure remains his primary weakness. His core personality trait, filial reverence (represented by the kanji "Kou"), manifests as fierce loyalty to Talpa. He frequently mocks leader Anubis and resents Lady Kayura's later appointment. This ingrained obedience makes him the last Warlord to accept Talpa exploited them solely for their armor's power.

His elemental opposition to light places Sage as his central rival. Key conflicts include embedding his sword into stone to pierce Kento's heart, repeated battles with Sage, and participation in Talpa's power absorption for physical restoration. Disillusionment sets in as Talpa favors Kayura and neglects the Warlords. Following Talpa's defeat and temporary resurgence, he allies with the Ronin Warriors against the Dynasty. He ultimately departs the mortal realm alongside the redeemed Kayura and fellow Warlords post-conflict.

Post-redemption, his powers adapt to protective uses: guiding those lost in darkness, combating dark entities, and shielding others from supernatural threats. His innate courage and integrity, previously corrupted by Talpa, fully reemerge.
