Description
Rajura, originally named Kuroda Jirougorou, descended from Musashi clans active during the Kamakura and Nanboku-chō periods (1185–1392 AD). Born into a samurai family serving as vassals to a powerful lord, youthful ambition drove him to pursue battle, enduring repeated setbacks and humiliations. He formed an assassination squad with battlefield comrades. After a failed warlord assassination attempt, he encountered the demonic entity Arago (Talpa) and entered the Youja world through dark allegiance, forging his defining trait of endurance ("Nin") from these hardships. The loss of his left eye, concealed by an eyepatch, remains officially unspecified; fan theories suggest a battle origin, potentially on Earth.

As bearer of the Armor of Illusion—alternately called the Armor of the Spider or Phantom Demon Armor—Rajura gained powers focused on deception and psychological warfare. Representing summer and embodying endurance ("Nin"), the armor generates realistic illusions, casts camouflage, and induces sensory confusion. His signature weapon, the Rokuashi Naginata (Six-Legged Long Sword), mimics spider limbs, spreading to create adhesive nets that immobilize foes. Additional armaments include barbed iron balls and forearm-mounted nunchakus. His special attack, Touchimou (Spiderweb Toss or Web of Deception), ensnares targets in inescapable webs. Theoretically capable of alleviating mental anguish, Rajura typically weaponized this ability to manipulate enemies.

Within the Dark Warlords, Rajura served as Talpa’s chief tactician, prioritizing strategy over brute force. His calculated demeanor made him the most composed among the Warlords. He exploited psychological vulnerabilities in the Ronin Warriors, notably targeting Kento of Hardrock’s impulsiveness. His illusions tricked allies into attacking each other and nearly convinced the warriors their armors were corrupt. After encountering Anubis in the mortal realm and witnessing Talpa’s favoritism toward Lady Kayura, Rajura questioned the emperor’s leadership. He acknowledged his ambition and greed had made him a pawn in Talpa’s schemes. Following Talpa’s defeat, he rejected further conflict, departing the mortal realm with Kayura and the other former Warlords.

His civilian lineage connects to the historical Kuroda clan, Sengoku-period strategists serving Oda Nobunaga, potentially influencing his tactical prowess. Rajura disliked mornings, preferring extended sleep and viewing dreams as preferable to reality. He relished bewildering others, a trait synergizing with his illusion-based abilities.
