TV-Series
Description
Touma Hashiba, localized as Rowen Hashiba in some regions, hails from Osaka, Japan. Born October 10, 1973, he is 14 during the main television series, ages to 16 in Gaiden, and reaches 17 by Message. He descends from the historical figure Toyotomi Hideyoshi, linking him to the air and wind-powered Strata armor (Tenku Yoroi).

His character is deeply influenced by his family. His parents divorced when he was 12, a decision he encouraged after observing their unhappiness. His father, Genichirou Hashiba, is a university physics and astronomy professor frequently occupied in his Kyoto lab. His mother is an international journalist. Though loving, both consistently prioritize work over family, creating emotional distance. Post-divorce, his mother maintains a casual, friendly relationship, sporadically visiting his high-rise apartment with a spare key, cultivating Touma's profound isolation and craving for meaningful connection.

Possessing an IQ of 250, Touma serves as the warriors' intellectual cornerstone. His analytical mind excels at battlefield strategy and deciphering complex historical or technical data. He uncovered the Strata armor's existence through genealogical research, later locating it at Amanohashidate shrine with his mother's aid. This armor embodies the Confucian virtue Wisdom (Chi) and controls air. Its primary weapon is a collapsible bow firing energy arrows, with the signature Arrow Shockwave (Shinku Ha) technique delivering devastating explosive force.

Despite his intellect, Touma exhibits social awkwardness and occasional absent-mindedness. He struggles with emotional cues, favoring logic, yet fiercely cherishes the bonds with his fellow warriors – his first true friendships and chosen family, fulfilling his need for belonging. His interests include reading detective fiction, sci-fi, and fantasy; playing strategy games like chess and Go; supporting the Hanshin Tigers baseball team; jogging; swimming; and indulging a pronounced sweet tooth. He keeps unconventional sleep and eating habits, often awake until 2 AM and struggling with mornings due to low blood pressure.

Touma evolves from a detached genius into a fiercely loyal protector. During the initial conflict against Arago, he acts as the calm tactician. Key moments include rescuing Ryo Sanada, being displaced into space by his armor's affinity, and confronting warlord Anubis, where he recognizes Anubis's hidden humanity.

In Gaiden, Touma travels to New York City to investigate Sage Date's disappearance. He encounters a murder scene, is falsely accused by Runa, and later helps expose a conspiracy involving a corrupted Halo armor, showcasing his deduction and willingness to cooperate with former foes once cleared.

During Legend of the Inferno Armor, he battles threats like Mukala. In Message, he gains a new armor variant. Physically, his height increases from 165 cm (5'4.9") in the TV series to 178 cm (5'10") in Message, and his weight shifts from 55 kg (121 lbs) to 66 kg (145 lbs).

His core motivation transcends abstract duty; he fights primarily to safeguard his friends, essential to his existence. This loyalty, combined with his strategic brilliance, leads others to regard him as one of the group's most dangerous members. His arc consistently emphasizes found family overcoming biological detachment.
