Ferris is the granddaughter of Professor Matthews, creator of the M-66 military androids. Initially unaware of the danger, she is dining with friends at Ramplings restaurant in Central City. Freelance journalist Sybel intercepts her there, urgently warning her of the android pursuit, transforming her from an ordinary civilian into a fleeing target.

The pursuit culminates in a skyscraper, where Sybel and Ferris ascend while evading the android. Sybel's intervention ensures Ferris survives, and military forces ultimately rescue her.

Afterward, she is uninjured. The military publicly covers up the incident, attributing the destruction to a terrorist attack.
