Description
Guy Christophe Rech, also known as Guy Christophe Lesch, carries the legendary epithets "Destroyer of 200 Bodies" and "Olympia's Lover" as a Shirogane—a specialized Automaton destroyer. He saved Narumi Kato's life using the last reserves of Aqua Vitae after Narumi sustained fatal injuries and lost his left arm, transforming him into a Shirogane and establishing himself as Narumi's creator and mentor. Guy also served as the primary instructor who raised and trained the young Éléonore. In the manga continuity, he additionally supervised Masaru Saiga's development as a puppeteer.

Physically appearing as a calm and handsome 34-year-old man, Guy frequently quotes Shakespeare in his dialogue. His personality blends stubbornness and cold-heartedness with a deeply paternal nature. A notable vulnerability emerges if the pendant containing a photograph of his mother ("Maman") is taken, causing him to regress into infantile behavior.

Guy is employed at Dr. Leif Banhart's hospital and research facility, which also functions as an orphanage for children afflicted with Zonapha syndrome. The anime depicts him transporting Narumi directly to this hospital for treatment, while the manga shows him first concealing Narumi in France, the ancestral homeland of the Shirogane, before seeking further medical intervention.

His profound connection to the puppet Olympia underscores both his combat role and emotional motivations. Despite his outwardly composed demeanor, Guy harbors intense rage and passion that drive his actions against adversaries.
