Chay, a classmate and close friend of Alfred Izuruha, resides in Side 6's Libot Colony. He belongs to a trio with Al and Telcott, united by their shared fascination with military technology and the ongoing One Year War. The group actively collects military paraphernalia, exchanges enthusiastic updates about war developments, and engages in general mischief, with Chay functioning as their effective leader.

Following the colony battle, Chay attends a school assembly seated to the left of Telcott and in front of Dolores. During the principal's speech addressing the war's impact, he picks his left ear, displaying inattention. Noticing Al crying uncontrollably due to trauma, Chay misinterprets the distress and attempts to cheer him up by predicting another imminent war—one he describes as bigger, flashier, and more entertaining than the concluded conflict.

This moment constitutes Chay's sole significant narrative contribution, highlighting his unchanging immature perception of warfare as entertainment despite witnessing its destruction firsthand. His character undergoes no development, and his family background, activities beyond school, or life after these events remain undocumented. His role is confined to that of a secondary character embodying youthful naivety and civilian glorification of war.
