Description
Towa Hiura initially grappled with social awkwardness outside judo, relying on her uniform for confidence. Her judo journey ignited under former senpai Erika Amane’s influence, but rapid advancement sparked conflict when she displaced a senior in competitions, leading to teammate resentment and isolation. This alienation persisted until transferring to Aoba West High.

Driven to apologize to Michi Sonoda for a past match, Towa enrolled and became instrumental in reviving the school’s dormant judo club alongside Michi and Sanae Takigawa. As a prodigious ace capable of national-level competition, her technical mastery and fierce drive defined high-stakes bouts against rivals like Erika—whom she called "terribly precious." Beyond physical skill, Towa embraced judo’s strategic and spiritual depth, deeming it "cool" and ultimately "the best."

Throughout high school, Towa’s bonds with Michi and the team eroded her social barriers, forging greater self-assurance. Key confrontations with Erika during tournaments catalyzed emotional reconciliation and rekindled passion for judo. She also cultivated robust rivalries-turned-friendships across schools, grounded in mutual respect.

Post-graduation, Towa sustained her judo commitment, diverging from teammates like Sanae and Anna Nagumo who pursued other paths. Her enduring dedication underscored the sport’s profound impact on her identity and life trajectory.
