Michi Sonoda and Sanae Takigawa compete in their final middle school judo tournament. Michi loses her last match and decides to quit judo to focus on high school and finding a boyfriend.
2Formed! Revived! Restarted!
At Aoba West High,Michi and Sanae reunite with Towa Hiura, the girl who beat Michi in her final match. Towa wants to revive the judo club, and Sanae persuades Michi to join while convincing her own parents to allow it.
3She Changes the Mood Entirely
Michi,Sanae, and Towa restart the judo club and meet their new advisor, the strict but skilled Shino Natsume. Towa encounters her former senior from middle school, Erika Amane, who challenges her to face her in the upcoming qualifiers.
4With the Three of Us,We'll Be Fine
The team trains under Natsume and enters the Saitama Prefectural Tournament. Towa learns she will face her old friend Erika if both teams advance, and the girls compete in their first high school team match.
5Judo Feels So Wonderful,Doesn't It?
Aoba West advances to the second round of the tournament. After Sanae loses her match, Towa secures a win, leaving Michi to face her former mentor, Erika Amane, in a decisive bout.
6I Don't Want to Have Regrets
Aoba West loses to Kasumigaoka in the second round. During exam season,when club activities are banned, Michi sneaks into the dojo and finds her friend Anna Nagumo, who reveals she is considering quitting the kendo club.
7Secret Weapon Senpai
Anna quits the kendo club and joins the judo club to spend more time with Michi. The team now has four members but needs five to compete in the summer tournament,so Natsume contacts a former club member.
8The Continuation of That Dream
Third-year Himeno joins the club to compete in her final tournament in Fukuoka. The five members travel to the tournament,check into a ryokan, and meet their first-round opponents.
9Softness Subdues Hardness
At the Fukuoka tournament,Aoba West faces Hakata Minami, a club revived by three first-year students. Michi fights Sachi Minato in her first match and wins, though the competition is tough.
10There's an Option Besides Winning?
Aoba West defeats Hakata Minami in the first round. In the second round,they face Nishikiyama, a strong team led by a nationally-ranked 78 kg athlete, putting the team to a difficult test.
11Golden Era
Aoba West narrowly defeats Nishikiyama with wins from Michi,Himeno, and Towa. They advance to the third round, where they must face Tachikawa Academy, one of the strongest teams in Japan, known as the Golden Generation.
12I'm the Strongest I've Ever Been
Aoba West faces the powerful Golden Generation of Tachikawa Academy. The star player,Hana Odagiri, defeats Michi, Sanae, and Himeno in a row, putting the team on the brink of elimination.
13Another Ippon!
Hana Odagiri loses to Towa for the first time. Towa then faces Emma Durand,a mysterious French judoka making her Japanese debut, in a final match that will decide the tournament for Aoba West.
