This resulted in Banjou, his followers Ichimi, Jiro, and Sante, and Kaneki being captured by Aogiri members Ayato Kirishima and Yamori. During captivity, Banjou formed an escape pact with Kaneki. Later, he collaborated pragmatically with Shuu Tsukiyama within the United Front, managing ghoul activities despite underlying distrust. Following the Cochlea raid, Banjou continued utilizing his healing kagune, attempting to treat Akira Mado while navigating the mistrust of her protector, Seidou Takizawa.
