Movie
Description
Toshimichi Izawa fulfills the role of a mechanic within the Mobile Rescue Police. He possesses a stocky frame, buzzcut brown hair, and black eyes. His standard uniform includes a purple jacket featuring white on the upper front and black on the lower front, matching purple pants with a black stripe, and white boots. Izawa displays a friendly disposition and demonstrates a strong work ethic, showing particular passion for machinery.
Professionally, he works alongside fellow mechanic Hayato Isurugi, frequently seen together. They operate under Jou Kurumada's supervision and take rescue commands on-scene from Arisa Munakata. Izawa's duties involve maintaining Drive Heads and constructing new support vehicles.
He attended a city car show incident where the self-driving car Idaten went wild, joined by Isurugi and Gou Kurumada after inviting Gou for a test drive experience. Later, he collaborated with Isurugi to engineer two new support vehicles: Rescue Chainsaw and Rescue Bulldozer. These combined into Rescue Bull Chainsaw, which both mechanics could directly operate during missions. Following completion, they deployed these vehicles during an incident where a construction crane dropped metal bars. Mikoto Ishino performed a Synchro Fusion with Rescue Bull Chainsaw to halt the crane, causing damage that disappointed Izawa and Isurugi.
His rescue deployments included assisting at Ooguma Dam during a bursting danger and clearing landslide-blocked areas. He and Isurugi once filmed an introductory video for potential new Mobile Rescue Police recruits. Research into dangerous Black Chips led to prolonged exposure to their emitted sound, causing Izawa and Isurugi to succumb to erratic, aggressive behavior. They returned to normal after unplugging the analysis machine, providing evidence of the chips' hazards. When the Transporter Gaia became infected by a Black Chip, he joined the intervention alongside other Transporter Gaias, though Isurugi primarily handled Walker Vehicle combat. During the final confrontation with the supercomputer Ark, he and Isurugi identified the crucial passage enabling Gou Kurumada to reach Ark.
In the web series, set after significant global destruction and unusual weather patterns caused by a shifted earth's axis, he and Isurugi assisted rescue operations during widespread floods.
For the theatrical film, during Terra's attack on the Mobile Rescue Police's cyber network, he assisted Gou Kurumada by operating the simulator externally. This support occurred alongside Isurugi and Munakata while Gou confronted Terra within the virtual environment.
