Description
Barza Beamorsu (also spelled Bazra Bearmors or similar variations) is a high-ranking military general who instigates war with the neighboring nation of Golt, driven solely by ambition for global domination. He ruthlessly eliminates obstacles and exploits others, specifically wielding the songstress Finis and her supernatural abilities as a human weapon. His tactics include orchestrating the burning of Rin's frontier village, resulting in numerous deaths, including villagers Mel and Talgia Hokley; this act catalyzes several characters' journeys.
Originally a mercenary, Barza rose to power after discovering Finis's destructive songs, leveraging them in warfare to ascend to the rank of general within the capital's army, replacing Talgia Hokley. His methods are defined by deceit and violence, exemplified by cheating during a duel against Talgia using an invention from Dr. Weissen, severely burning Talgia's right hand and cementing Barza's reputation for underhanded tactics. He consistently conceals critical information from the royal family to serve his personal agenda.
Barza forms a Big Bad Duumvirate with Prince Rudo Bernstein IV, collaborating to harness Finis's powers for military dominance. Following Prince Rudo's demise, Barza becomes the sole primary antagonist. His command involves direct assaults and strategic manipulations, such as attacking Rin's village upon learning of her own song-based abilities, which he views as either a threat or a potential tool. He later deploys the Symphony Killer, a weapon designed to amplify destructive songs, in an attempt to assassinate the elderly King of Golt. This final act is thwarted by Henry Leobolt and Al, leading to Barza's death during the confrontation.
His role is marked by a complete absence of redemption or sympathetic traits, maintaining an unwavering focus on conquest and control throughout the conflict.
