Description
Izumi Hashima is a junior high school student in class 3-A at Honoda Junior High School, two years younger than Tomoya Aki. Initially extroverted and physically active in her youth, often playing with boys, her personality shifted when Tomoya introduced her to otaku culture, leading to deep immersion. She retains a cheerful, playful demeanor, frequently smiling and engaging in light-hearted banter, especially with Tomoya. Despite occasional air-headed or childish moments, she shows tenacity and commitment to her interests, alongside surprising maturity in various situations.

Physically, Izumi has burgundy hair styled in shoulder-length twin tails secured with white flower hair clips, and red-brownish eyes. She typically wears her school uniform or a one-piece dress. Her height is 157 cm, with measurements of B88/W58/H86.

She actively participates in the dōjin circle "Fancy Wave" and later becomes the illustrator for her older brother Iori Hashima's professional circle "Rouge en rouge". This choice fuels her rivalry with Eriri Spencer Sawamura, aiming to surpass her at the Winter Comiket. Her artistic drive stems from a desire to improve her illustrations and evoke emotional responses from viewers.

Her background includes a temporary move to Nagoya due to her parents' job relocation, during which she continued otaku activities. Upon returning to Tokyo, she reconnected with Tomoya. She harbors deep gratitude towards him for introducing her to otaku culture, which evolved into romantic feelings over time. Her hobbies include playing otome games, particularly the PlayStation Portable "Little Love Rhapsody" series (a gift from Tomoya), and watching soccer, a remnant of her childhood interests.

Following the main series events, Izumi joins Blessing Software as the key animator after Utaha Kasumigaoka and Eriri depart for professional projects. She attends Toyogasaki Academy as a first-year student in Class C. During Blessing Software's game development, she observes Megumi Kato's jealousy concerning Tomoya, highlighting changing group dynamics. Years later, she continues collaborating with the Blessing Software team as the company establishes itself.

Her given name "Izumi" means "fountain" or "spring" in Japanese, while her surname "Hashima" combines the characters for "bridge" and "real, genuine".
