He argues human intervention is essential to unleash Pokémon's latent power, deploying inventions like the "Colress Machine" to forcibly heighten their aggression and strength. Later, in Pokémon Sun and Moon, he pursues independent research in Alola, developing fusion devices such as the N-Solarizer and N-Lunarizer—extensions of his prior work with Kyurem. He aids protagonists against interdimensional threats, adopting a collaborative yet enigmatic role. During the Team Rainbow Rocket crisis, he confronts his former superior Ghetsis, using prototype tech to protect allies while voicing explicit hatred for him.
