Description
Ui Wakana, student council president of Seifu High School, won her position through a charismatic "liberalizing love" campaign that included distributing condoms. This victory resulted in her opponent, Hayato Izumi, becoming vice president. Unbeknownst to Hayato initially, their parents arranged their engagement, forcing Ui to move into his apartment as his fiancée.
At school, Ui embodies a capable leader, excelling academically and athletically with strong charisma. This contrasts sharply with her home life, where she displays dependency, lacks domestic skills like cooking, and often acts carefree or childish. A recurring visual motif shows baby chicks appearing above her head during moments of jealousy, sadness, or deep thought. She possesses distinctive purple eyes, neck-length brown hair, and a single fang.
Ui actively pursues a romantic and sexual relationship with Hayato despite limited understanding of intimacy. Her attempts range from wearing provocative outfits like a naked apron (subverted by a swimsuit) to direct advances, often leading to comedic interruptions. Initially, her motivations appear driven more by obligation to the arranged marriage and physical curiosity than deep emotion. This changes as she develops genuine romantic feelings, confessing her love explicitly and exhibiting intense jealousy towards other girls interested in Hayato, particularly Rin Misumi. Her insecurity surfaces regarding Rin's larger bust size, fueling a competitive dynamic.
Her relationship with Hayato evolves significantly. Initially resistant, he gradually reciprocates her feelings. A pivotal moment reveals Ui harbored a childhood desire to marry him, predating the parental arrangement. This culminates in Hayato publicly proposing to her during a school event, which she accepts.
Ui interacts with others through her roles. She leads the student council, including ditzy Ayane Niikura and fiercely loyal Karen Fujisaki, who harbors a protective, near-romantic interest in Ui. Her primary conflict arises with Rin Misumi, the head of the morals committee, whose ideals clash with Ui's "love liberation" platform. Despite this rivalry, Ui leverages her position to positively influence others, such as reforming photography club president Honoka Saijō by redirecting her talents toward legitimate activities after discovering the club's illicit voyeurism.
