OVA
Description
Rie Komatsuzaki debuted in the 1984 Cream Lemon OVA series, within the Escalation trilogy. Disillusioned by a romantic disappointment involving her male tutor, she transferred to an all-girls Catholic school seeking an environment free from male relationships.

Upon arriving at the Catholic school, Rie developed immediate romantic feelings for her upperclassman, Naomi Hayakawa, upon their first meeting. Naomi later introduced Midori, resulting in a polyamorous relationship among the three. Rie actively participated in intimate encounters with both Naomi and Midori, frequently exploring BDSM dynamics where she typically assumed a submissive role. Outwardly modest and shy as a Catholic schoolgirl, she privately embraced an open lesbian identity.

Rie consistently referred to Naomi as "oneesama," reflecting their formal yet affectionate dynamic. Her devotion to Naomi persisted throughout their interactions, even as she engaged intimately with other partners. The original OVA narrative concluded with Rie graduating and planning to live with Naomi, signaling their committed relationship's continuation.

An alternate universe version of Rie appeared in the visual novel reboot *Escalation ~Kyouai no Fugue~*. Similarly transferring to St. Yale Academy after familial betrayal and lost love, her storyline involved witnessing a lesbian encounter between Naomi and Midori. This catalyzed her involvement in what was described as a "sadistic corruption of pure love" within the academy. Specific interactions included sharing a kiss with Midori and engaging in tactile stimulation with Naomi during bondage scenarios.

In the 2001–2002 OVA *Shinseiki Cream Lemon*, Rie encountered Tomoe Misaki, a new student attempting to flee the Catholic school. Rie persuaded Tomoe to stay. Subsequent interactions led Tomoe to experience dreams involving Rie, hinting at potential psychosexual tension between them. This version retained Rie's connection to the Catholic school environment and her involvement in intimate relationships with other female students.

Rie possessed brown hair reaching her chest and blue or green eyes, typically dressed in school uniform. Her narrative trajectory consistently centered on themes of lesbian romance, emotional recovery from prior heterosexual disappointment, and exploration of BDSM within polyamorous dynamics across these media iterations.
