Crushed and left dying, he was reincarnated by Ariel as an Arachne—a spider-type monster with a humanoid torso and arachnid abdomen. This transformation preserved his life while irrevocably changing his existence.

Initially, Balto endured profound psychological torment and revulsion toward his monstrous form, harboring deep resentment toward Ariel for imposing it.
