Description
Komatsu-san crafts glass art pieces in his combined workshop and gallery, nestled in a mountainous region. He lives and works there alongside his Shiba Inu, Muco, whom he has cared for since her puppyhood approximately four years before the main events. Glassblowing shapes his daily life, with the workshop serving as both his creative space and residence.

He shares a deeply affectionate bond with Muco, though her playful disobedience occasionally leads to damaged items like towels or disruptions in his workspace. Despite occasional frustrations and his struggles to interpret her canine perspective, their relationship remains a cornerstone of his existence.

His social connections include Ushikou-san, a friend since their high school days when they played baseball together. Komatsu-san left the team due to shoulder pain, and Ushikou-san later introduced him to glassblowing, sparking his lifelong profession. Ushikou-san regularly visits the workshop, assists with business operations, and provides technological support, compensating for Komatsu-san’s initial unfamiliarity with devices like smartphones or laptops.

Komatsu-san develops romantic feelings for Shinohara, a gentle woman who first visited his workshop mistaking it for a café. Muco reacts with jealousy to this attraction, while Shinohara remains unaware of his feelings, viewing him only as a friend. Her younger brother, Tamaki, becomes Komatsu-san’s apprentice despite a fear of dogs, forging a mentorship where Komatsu-san teaches him glassblowing.

Through Ushikou-san, he befriends Bouda, a local barkeep and single father. Bouda’s daughter, Rena, observes Komatsu-san’s work with growing interest, hinting at a potential future apprenticeship. Komatsu-san also interacts with Dr. Mutou, Muco’s veterinarian, though their encounters are marked by mutual discomfort stemming from the vet’s flirtatious behavior toward him and Bouda.

His journey involves gradually expanding his once-insular world through these relationships while steadfastly maintaining his dedication to glassblowing and his bond with Muco.
