Description
Kiriko Kiyuna is a 17-year-old high school student and former pilot of the giant robot Daimidaler, retired after her organization disbanded. Her name uses kanji meaning "fog/mist" and "child" for Kiriko; Kiyuna combines "joy," "friend/companion," and "name/reputation." She possesses black hair, violet eyes, and measurements of B85-W57-H85 cm with an E-cup bust. Characterized as pure-hearted and genuinely nice, Kiriko flusters easily, especially in romantic situations.
Originally piloting the Type-2 Daimidaler, she lost her ability to generate Hi-ERo particles—a special energy powering the robot—after an initial battle against the Penguin Empire, leading to her temporary leave. She later returns as pilot of the Type-6 Daimidaler. Kiriko releases Hi-ERo particles when experiencing romantic or erotic excitement during physical affection with her boyfriend, Shōma Ameku. Their frequent, overt public displays at school prompted multiple staff complaints.
When the Penguin Empire transforms Shōma into a penguin and he abandons her to join them, Kiriko falls into deep depression. Resolving to rescue him, she reignites her involvement with Daimidaler operations. Her determination to reclaim Shōma fuels a "Roaring Rampage of Revenge" against the Penguin Empire. Kiriko stands out as the only pilot known to summon Daimidaler via remote control.
At school, she and Shōma are seniors to fellow pilot Kōichi Madanbashi. Kiriko recognizes Kōichi by his habitual use of a non-standard Gakuran uniform instead of school attire and his established reputation for perverse behavior.
Shōma confessed his feelings after falling in love at first sight, initiating their relationship. Initially unaware of her Daimidaler past, he later learns the truth directly from her. Their bond exemplifies a "Muggle–Mage Romance," as Shōma lacks Hi-ERo particles or special abilities. Kiriko's commitment faces a test when teacher Chieko Kakazu attempts to seduce Shōma to break them up, a plan foiled by his loyalty. Following Shōma's capture by the Penguin Empire, Kiriko abandons efforts to conceal her identity, openly declaring her love in a pivotal "No More Lies" moment.
