Description
Jubileus, known as The Creator, embodies Divine Will within Paradiso's hierarchy. Imprisoned in eternal slumber following the First Armageddon that birthed the Trinity of Realities, this deity governs the forces of light. Humanity calls her "Jubileus", derived from "jubilee" symbolizing celebration and divine mercy, as an approximation of her true name, whose unutterable syllables defy human comprehension. The statue serving as her physical vessel acts as a conduit for summoning once the Eyes of the World reunite.
In *Bloody Fate*, Jubileus is titled "Shushin" (主神, lit. "All-Father") in Japanese versions, emphasizing masculine divine traits. Unlike the original narrative, her awakening happens autonomously, fueled by angels sacrificing themselves to accelerate her revival. When Jeanne frees Bayonetta from Jubileus' grasp, the deity's left side suffers severe burns and structural damage from the abrupt power loss. Balder compensates by channeling his Right Eye to restore her form, merging with her to directly control her actions and orchestrate reality reunification.
Jubileus wields dominion over elemental forces, terraforming battlefields into hazardous zones of magma, ice, or storms. Her hair-strands, adorned with faces firing projectiles, function as both weapons and shields. In *Bloody Fate*, absorbing angelic energy amplifies her combat prowess: she generates colossal light blades to defeat Gomorrah, moves at cosmic speeds, and battles across dimensions. She recovers from injuries using celestial energies and clashes physically and with energy beams against Queen Sheba. However, her ability to merge the Trinity of Realities (Paradiso, Inferno, Earth) remains dependent on possessing both Eyes of the World—a condition unfulfilled here.
Director Hideki Kamiya characterizes Jubileus with a self-absorbed, temperamental disposition akin to a "typical sixteen-year-old human," informing her portrayal as capricious and imperious.
Her defeat culminates when Bayonetta and Jeanne jointly summon Queen Sheba. Bayonetta conjures a Torture Attack device—a giant wooden horse—while Sheba binds Jubileus with a whip. After Bayonetta mortally wounds Balder using Rosa's lipstick, Jeanne commands Sheba to transform a pistol into a cosmic-scale cannon. The blast obliterates Jubileus' physical form entirely.
