Miu Takanashi is the second eldest of the three Takanashi half-sisters in the story. At the beginning of the series she is a ten-year-old fifth grader, and in later time skips she appears as a fifteen-year-old. She stands about 147 centimeters tall. Her most immediately noticeable trait is her blonde hair, which she inherits from her Russian biological mother. Because each of the three sisters has a different mother, Miu’s appearance visibly sets her apart. She was left in the care of her father Shingo after her mother chose not to remain in Japan. Miu has a bright, outgoing personality and enjoys being social. At school she is popular among her classmates, and she has a keen interest in fashion, cosmetics, and acting in a slightly teenage manner despite her age. She prefers men who are older and masculine, and she addresses Yuuta Segawa as Oji-san, meaning uncle.
