Yūhi Shinatsuhiko is the ward mayor and land god of Sakurashin town. He typically appears as a thirteen-year-old boy with gray hair featuring a distinctive strand between his eyes and carmine or reddish-purple eyes. He sports a black middle school uniform with a lilac bow, short pants, high boots, gloves, and a cap. For official duties, he shifts to a taller adult form, wearing a light suit and tie. A cigarette is often present during his daily activities.
His history spans centuries, originally serving as Sakurashin's land god before departing to travel the world. Before leaving, he created Yae Shinatsuhiko to act as land goddess in his stead, though she joined him instead. During their travels in the Edo period (1638), they defended Mariabell and her father Calvani from pursuers, escorting them to Sakurashin. When the girl Nana required exorcism after Chiaki Hiizumi refused to use Tuning, Yūhi performed the act himself. He later became Mariabell's guardian deity, replenishing his divine power through their bond and rescuing her from kidnappers.
