Description
Jinbu functions as the aerial combat specialist of the Swordbot Samurai Team. Awakened alongside his teammates by human Isami Tatewaki during an assault by Predacons Budora and Gaidora, he maintains a complex relationship with team commander Kenzan. This dynamic blends fierce rivalry with mutual respect, partly stemming from Jinbu's overbearing "big brother" attitude. He occasionally pushes Kenzan harshly to motivate him, yet consistently follows the younger Swordbot's leadership in battle.

He transforms into a swept-wing jet fighter, leveraging his speed for reconnaissance and aerial engagements. Jinbu wields the distinctive long-bladed "Mach Katana" and possesses a kabuto helmet that functions as both shield and cannon. His capabilities expand through combination with teammates Kenzan and Ganoh. Jinbu forms the upper component of their combined mode, designated GoJinbu, emphasizing speed and aerial maneuverability. In this form, his kabuto becomes the head, and his vocal characteristics activate combination-specific phrases and attacks via Kenzan's electronics module, including the finishing move "Jin, jin, jinrai-gaeshi!" (Thunderclap Returning Strike).

Throughout missions across historical periods to secure Legendiscs, Jinbu demonstrates tactical initiative. He swiftly transported Isami to Akihabara Station to trigger a time jump when temporal distortions threatened modern Tokyo. Fighting alongside samurai Musashi Miyamoto against Predacons in feudal Japan, he utilized the GoJinbu form. He later participated in historical engagements involving figures like Ryōma Sakamoto and Musashibō Benkei, adapting the team's combination strategy to each threat. His commitment to protecting Isami culminated during the confrontation with the revived Predacon leader Dragotron. After Isami's abduction, Jinbu and his team pursued the captors as GoJinbu to Mount Fuji, coordinating with the Shinobi Team. This led to forming the colossal combiner DaiKenzan, empowered by duplicated Legendisc energy, which ultimately defeated Dragotron.

A non-combat appearance occurred in the "BeCool" shorts, where he participated in a film production disrupted by emergency services. Physically, his design lacks an Autobot insignia on his body, featuring only on his kabuto. Early toy releases had a manufacturing error involving reversed thigh segments, which slightly hindered knee articulation and combination stability until rectified. His name likely derives from the Japanese terms for "swift" (迅) and "military" or "bravery" (武).
