Description
Tsubaki Takenaka is Natsuhi Takenaka's twin sister, alongside her identical sibling Hiiragi Takenaka. Born on January 1st, she attends Keishin Academy as a fifth-grade student in class 5-A. On the girls' basketball team, she wears jersey number 11 and plays primarily as a power forward, leveraging her stronger offensive penetration skills compared to Hiiragi.

Tsubaki stands 140 cm tall and weighs 35 kg. She has short black hair with blunt bangs, brown or amber eyes, and a pale complexion. To distinguish her from Hiiragi, she wears a yellow flower ribbon on the left side of her hair, while Hiiragi wears a pink ribbon on the right. Both twins share an energetic and competitive personality, particularly directing their rivalry towards Maho Misawa due to Maho's frequent interactions with their older brother Natsuhi. This rivalry initially created tension with Maho, though they later joined the basketball team partly to prove their superiority over her.

Tsubaki and Hiiragi practice basketball daily with Natsuhi, who initially underestimated their individual abilities. Their near-telepathic synchronization enables complex combination plays that baffle opponents, culminating in their signature defensive technique "Twin Hell." This formidable double-team maneuver is described as nearly impenetrable, capable of stopping high-caliber players like Maho Misawa and Rena Ashihara. This synergy extends beyond the court; the twins often speak and act in unison, earning them the joint nickname "Tsubahi" or "TsubaHii."

Character development occurs when Mimi Balguerie forms the fifth-grade basketball team. Despite initial reluctance stemming from tensions with Maho, Tsubaki and Hiiragi eventually join to showcase their abilities in a formal team setting. Their participation demonstrates how their synchronized playstyle evolves from informal practices with Natsuhi into a strategic asset for Keishin.

The name "Tsubaki" means "camellia flower," while "Takenaka" translates to "dweller amongst bamboo." The twins share a birthday on New Year's Day.
