Description
Amarello Berge operates as the yellow Sword Eyes of Darkness, characterized by long pink hair secured with a yellow bandanna, golden eyes, and a distinct outfit comprising a yellow top, very short black shorts, a brown jacket, red fingerless gloves, and red boots. Her personality radiates smugness, often projecting deceptive support for Yaiba to veil her true objectives. She harbors profound loyalty to Grenada, fiercely protective due to her father's Red Army affiliation and his command to safeguard Grenada. This devotion shapes her purpose following her father's punishment for rebellion, which drove her to shatter her jewel staff. That act rejected her potential role as a mother of a Sword Eyes and severed her faith in God.
Originally dispatched to Megallanion as an envoy to secure Stinger army placements, she guarded Grenada while aware of a shadow figure's existence. She aided Grenada's escape after cautioning her against opposing Yaiba. Utilizing powers bestowed by Grenada, she battled the brainwashed Haqua, reclaiming his lives to reverse his condition. She later discovered Grenada possessed a jewel staff mirroring her own former one, originally gifted by Galaxy Watanabe. After guiding Grenada to a royal grave, she confronted Brau to thwart Grenada's recapture, defeating him and warning him of Garudos. She and Grenada then pursued the Red Army's remnants, only to be ambushed by Garudos-controlled soldiers before rescue intervened.
At the palace, she informed Yaiba that Grenada had identified the shadow figure and demanded Yaiba surrender his Sword Brave to halt the Sword Braves' gathering. Yaiba's refusal sparked a battle where he defeated her yet spared her life, exiling her from the palace. She nonetheless returned with allies when evidence exposed Garudos. During the Sword of Judgment ritual, she fought Kizakura. Her arc concluded upon reuniting with Galaxy Watanabe, who declared her broken staff had cost her the power to mother a Sword Eyes. She affirmed she no longer required such power, having embraced her true purpose as a Sword Eyes. She subsequently bore Grenada's staff while observing Tsurugi's clash with Garudos. In the epilogue, she married Galaxy Watanabe and co-managed a Battle Spirits goods shop.
The manga adaptation minimized her role, omitting exploration of her past, loyalty to Grenada, or battle engagements.
