TV-Series
Description
Gordy Dain, the green Sword Eyes of Darkness, initially serves the Midnight Sun King Yaiba. He begins the series without his Sword Brave, The BlackInsectDemonBlade Usubakagero. Tasking his subordinate Cornell with attacking Pacifice, Gordy expresses disappointment at Cornell's failure. Learning Tsurugi Tatewaki possesses another sword, Gordy burns down a forest, allowing his Stinger army to seize it – the very blade he lacks. He battles Tsurugi, using psychological tactics for an easy win, yet fails to capture him.

Defying Yaiba's orders, Gordy pursues all twelve Sword Braves to claim the Sword of Judgment for himself. He visits his home village in Lemurion, where residents remember his promise to bring excitement upon success. Instead, he attempts to burn the village down to lure Tsurugi into another fight. This battle ends in Tsurugi's victory; rather than take Gordy's Sword Brave, Tsurugi invites him to join his side. Yaiba intervenes, forcibly retrieving Gordy and planning to remove his green Sword Eye as punishment, though Garudos Randall dissuades him.

Returning to Yaiba's service, Gordy joins a mission to Xamuler to capture the Sword Eyes of Light. He plants a bomb on Xamuler's castle as a threat, but Kizakura's interference triggers its premature explosion. Challenged to a duel by Haqua Estoc, Gordy suffers an unexpected defeat, leaving him visibly shocked. This loss fuels his internal conflict over the opposing worldviews of Tsurugi and Yaiba.

Gordy later returns to Lemurion, facing hostility from villagers angered by his past actions. During a reconciliation attempt, Mars captures and delivers him to Tsurugi. Challenged to fight again, Gordy agrees to join Tsurugi's side, motivated by underlying care for Lemurion, though he downplays this commitment.

Teaming with Haqua, Gordy investigates Garudos's background. They crossdress to infiltrate the palace, uncovering information about a mountain climbed by Garudos and Atlaios. Traveling there with Long's help, they discover a Bringer unit containing a recorded video, later presented to Garudos.

During the ritual to summon the Sword of Judgment, Gordy battles Hagakure Shido (outcome unspecified). While Tsurugi confronts Garudos, Gordy focuses on diverting Stinger forces from the arks. In the epilogue, he returns to Lemurion and works for the village, indicating his reintegration.

Gordy exhibits a playful, childish demeanor, assigning cutesy nicknames like "Red Light-chan" for Tsurugi and "Gar-chan" for Garudos. This contrasts with a mean-spirited and sadistic streak, evident in his destructive actions and manipulative battle tactics. His motivation shifts from personal ambition to protecting Lemurion, facilitating his alliance with the Sword Eyes of Light. He utilizes a green deck emphasizing dark spirits and rush tactics, featuring key cards like The BlackInsectDemonlord Diabolica-Mantis and The BlackInsectDemonBlade Usubakagero.
