Description
Cubik Galois is a student at Root Academy and holds the solver title of Edison, a name that reflects his inventive nature. He is a short-statured middle school boy with short blonde hair and blue eyes. His typical attire consists of a white shirt, a green tie, a light yellow vest, blue trousers, brown shoes, and a distinctive long lab coat that underscores his scientific focus. His very name carries a mathematical origin, derived from the Galois group used in the theory of cubic polynomials, a nod to the renowned mathematician Évariste Galois.

At the beginning of his introduction, Cubik is portrayed as a boy who loves mathematics and considers numbers to be his only friends. He initially disliked puzzles, believing they were a waste of time for a genius. This perspective changed dramatically after he witnessed Kaito Daimon solving a P.O.G. puzzle using his Phi-Brain abilities, which sparked a deep and enduring interest in Kaito. His early demeanor came across as self-centered, but this trait was largely a result of his youth and immaturity, as he did not fully understand the consequences of some of his actions. Over time, he grew more socially aware and integrated with his peers, evidenced by his acceptance of nicknames such as Q-chan from Nonoha Itou and Q-taro from Gammon Sakanoue.

As an inventor inspired by Thomas Edison, Cubik frequently creates robotic assistants. After losing his original robot, Mr. Okabe, in England, he developed replacements named Mr. Yoshio and Mr. Iwashimizu. His role in the story primarily involves using his technical and mathematical skills to support the main group. His loyalty to Kaito is remarkably strong, to the point where he has been known to observe and track even mundane details about Kaito, such as his shampoo usage, to collect data. This intense loyalty is a key aspect of his personality. He shared a competitive relationship with the puzzles and other solvers, sometimes showing jealousy when Kaito focused on others.

In his character development, Cubik faced moments of vulnerability and trauma. A significant instance occurred when he nearly died in a puzzle designed by Rook during his childhood, an event that caused him considerable distress. He also experienced a crisis of confidence after being told by members of P.O.G. that he might not be worthy of being Kaito's friend, leading him to ponder if he had the right to stand beside him. Ultimately, he overcame these feelings, realizing he could be a true friend by contributing his own unique skills, such as hacking into P.O.G. systems to provide information for Kaito.

In later story arcs, particularly during the conflicts involving the Orpheus Order, Cubik's prominence in the narrative diminishes. He receives minimal focus and appears in only a few dedicated episodes, such as one where he requires Kaito's help to solve a puzzle. Despite his potential, he is bypassed as a candidate for possession by Orpheus. His notable abilities lie not in puzzle-solving itself, but in his genius for invention and mathematics. He consistently uses his technical prowess to create gadgets, support his teammates, and help them navigate dangerous puzzles, embodying his title of Edison.
