Description
Gido Gaira commands as a high-ranking officer within the Theseus military. He perpetually wears a mask concealing his features, maintaining anonymity and reflecting his clandestine nature as he withholds his plans and motives. His physical form bears a striking resemblance to Dick Coyne, Sam Coyne's missing brother. This likeness stems from a forced consciousness transfer; Gido is an "Ideal Child" whose mind occupies Dick Coyne's body without consent, suppressing or erasing Dick's original consciousness and identity. Gido advances the agenda of the "Ideal Children," a faction seeking dominion over humanity's future by capturing Maya, another "Ideal Child," whose genetic material is essential to reverse degradation in their cloning operations. Post-fall from his ship, Gido experiences a resurgence of Dick Coyne's memories and consciousness. Dick acknowledges the internal conflict, sensing "the heart of the stranger he got in his body might get awaken soon." Confronted by this duality and the immediate threat of the Ozma entity, Dick/Gido chooses self-sacrifice. He activates the "Monokeros," a potent weapon he developed prior to his disappearance, targeting Ozma to ensure the survival of Sam and others.
