Description
Tarnyang hails from Shai-Fang, an isolated northern paradise shielded by steep mountains. She comes from a lineage of exorcists charged with protecting their village across generations. Since birth, an unbreakable cord and ring named Ryuu-Rin-Ren physically connect her to her younger twin sister, Sainyang, permitting only limited separation. Tarnyang possesses a strong-willed, cheerful, and outgoing personality, a stark contrast to Sainyang's introverted nature. She often speaks for both sisters and exhibits a protective attitude towards Sainyang. The twins share a mischievous streak and form life-debt pacts with those who save them three times, bestowing affectionate nicknames upon such benefactors.

As an exorcist, Tarnyang specializes in close-range combat using a holy sword (jian), compensating for Sainyang's weakness in physical confrontation. Together, their combined techniques form the "Double Dragon Formation," featuring named attacks derived from mythical dragons: "Spirit Dragon Howl" involves Tarnyang channeling energy into Sainyang for a sonic attack; "Flying Dragon Vortex" sees Tarnyang swinging Sainyang in a rotating maneuver; and "Flood Dragon Thunder Cannon" unleashes energy through Tarnyang's sword.

Their journey begins when the Goshintai (Sacred Vessel), the divine protection maintaining Shai-Fang's warmth and peace, is stolen. The twins venture into the outside world to retrieve it, later discovering this artifact is actually a human known as the "Child of the Dragon." During their travels, they repeatedly encounter Annelotte, leader of the Rebel Army. After Annelotte saves them three times—settling restaurant debts and rescuing them during a pirate ship confrontation—the twins pledge loyalty to her, adopting the pet name "Aneja" (Sister Annie) according to their cultural tradition.

Tarnyang expresses disdain for strategic calculations but maintains cultural habits such as using untranslatable Chinese-like speech patterns in Japanese media, punctuated by katakana endings. She enjoys chimaki (zongzi) and practices carving as a hobby.
