Under duress, Lazarro reveals critical details about a conspiracy involving Frenic and blood mages. He discloses their plan to attack the Chantry's ten-year gathering, implicating high-ranking Chantry officials. He also admits being compelled to inform the blood mages if contacted by Regalyan or Cassandra, confirming his coerced cooperation with the antagonists.

His involvement culminates when, following blood mage directives, he lures Regalyan and Cassandra into an ambush featuring blood magic-controlled ogres and golems. Lazarro dies during the ensuing combat.
