Description
First Enchanter Edmonde leads the Circle of Magi within Orlais's White Spire as a member of the Aequitarian faction. His duties encompass overseeing the Circle's operations, managing finances, setting prices for magical services, and acting as both mentor and advocate for the mages under his protection. This role demands constant balance between administrative tasks and mediating between mages and templars.

During the events of *Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker*, Edmonde commands Regalyan D'Marcall to investigate blood mage activities, resulting in the discovery of Frenic's ritual site. He later attends a meeting with Divine Beatrix III and High Seeker Aldren, confirming the abduction of the elven mage Avexis from his Circle and demanding her return, though his request is refused. When Regalyan vanishes, Edmonde dispatches other Circle mages to find him. Artistic interpretations across media depict his physical appearance at this time as relatively able-bodied.

Years later, as shown in *Dragon Age: Asunder*, Edmonde appears significantly aged and wearied. Following murders in the White Spire and an assassination attempt on Divine Justinia V, he faces interrogation by Lord Seeker Lambert. He subsequently assists Evangeline by providing his key to access the phylactery chamber, implying templar overreach. Edmonde supports mage demands for information regarding Rhys's disappearance and participates in the First Enchanters' conclave.

Edmonde perishes during the flight from the White Spire amidst escalating conflict. The surviving mages elect Adrian as his successor. As First Enchanter of an Orlesian Circle, he traditionally wears the black robes customary for his rank in the region. His tenure exemplifies the challenges Circle leadership faces in navigating templar oversight while advocating for mage welfare.
