Description
Yuzu Komiya operates Yaoyorozudou, the antique shop inherited from her father after her parents' passing. She lives in the shop with Mayu, a cat deity exiled from Takama-ga-hara. Yuzu possesses lavender hair falling to her chest, green eyes, and is often seen wearing her signature white apron. Her generally positive and calm demeanor endears her to many deities, though she exhibits formidable intensity when rarely angered. While frequently finding Mayu's lazy mischief bothersome, Yuzu harbors deep care for her companion.

Their connection began when the spirit of Yuzu's deceased cat, Kotetsu, sought Mayu's aid to ease Yuzu's overwhelming grief, helping her process the sorrow. Yuzu respectfully addresses Mayu as "Mayu-sama".

Yuzu possesses remarkable innate talent for appraising Japanese antiques, discerning authenticity and quality without supernatural means. This skill emerged in childhood when she exposed a deceitful antique dealer attempting to cheat her. Her expertise later proved invaluable during visits with her former antique instructor.

Yuzu sometimes mediates disputes within the divine community. She notably intervened when others considered expelling Shamo, the poverty god, advocating compassion. Yuzu cared for Shamo, bathing her and mending her stuffed toy, forging an unexpected bond.

Yuzu's history of loss resurfaced when Urara, a Nightmare Eater, triggered a distressing dream about her past. Mayu's support during this ordeal reinforced their mutual reliance. Over time, Yuzu gains greater confidence navigating the supernatural world around her.

Gonta, a fox god, holds romantic feelings for Yuzu, frequently scheming for her attention while resenting Mayu's closeness. Yuzu remains largely unaware of his affections. She naturally assumes a nurturing role with younger deities like Shamo and Yoshino, reflecting her inherent empathy.
