Description
Yori Asanagi is a third-year high school student and the vocalist/guitarist for SSGIRLS. Her father plays guitar, sparking her musical passion, while her mother often travels for work. Before joining the band, she favored solitary singing and guitar practice on the school rooftop.

She possesses dark grey hair cut to her nape, featuring long face-framing strands, blue eyes, and a tall, slim figure. Yori typically wears her school uniform with sleeves meticulously rolled up and the top unbuttoned. Though she needs glasses to see the classroom board, she doesn't consistently wear them.

Outwardly stoic and aloof—traits contributing to her popularity—Yori is internally reserved, anxious, and easily flustered, especially concerning romance. She overthinks interactions and masks jealousy when her girlfriend, Himari Kino, spends time with others like Momoka Satomiya or Shiho Izumi. Genuinely kind yet socially awkward, she remains oblivious to romantic feelings directed at her, such as Aki Mizuguchi's longstanding crush. Yori adores cats, collecting cat-themed merchandise; this fondness can sway her to accept challenging requests.

Her romantic relationship with Himari Kino began when she misinterpreted Himari's admiration of her singing during a school welcome performance as a romantic confession. This ignited genuine feelings in Yori, who resolved to make Himari fall for her. She openly confessed her romantic feelings, securing their relationship after a dedicated musical performance featuring an original love song. Throughout their dating, Yori navigated firsts like holding hands, exchanging accessories, and planning dates. Struggling with insecurity and jealousy, she learned to communicate these feelings, culminating in their first kiss at a fireworks festival. Gradually more comfortable expressing affection, she occasionally calls Himari by her first name, breaking her usual formality.

Yori joined SSGIRLS permanently at Himari's encouragement, overcoming initial reluctance fueled by stage fright. Her relationships with bandmates evolved, notably deepening her bond with best friend Aki Mizuguchi after confiding relationship struggles. She remained unaware of Shiho Izumi's resentment over Aki's feelings until later reconciliations. Through her relationship with Himari, Yori became more emotionally open and less anxious, while retaining her inherent kindness and occasional social obliviousness.
