Description
Kurage Aoba, the youngest sister residing at Mikazuki-Dera temple with siblings Yuzuki and Tsukuyo, lives under the guardianship of Kiki, a nun overseeing the temple in place of their estranged priest parents. The temple’s ambiguous status as a nunnery and the lack of an ordained head priest threaten the sisters with eviction once Kurage graduates high school.

Petite in stature with a childlike frame, Kurage’s purple hair, crimson eyes, and modest clothing accentuate her youthful appearance, which starkly contrasts her sisters’ mature elegance. Frequent comparisons to them amplify her self-consciousness about her undeveloped physique. Though soft-spoken and introspective, she possesses keen perceptiveness, often voicing unfiltered truths that cut through pretense.

Her unique bond with Nyagosuke, the temple cat, grants insight into others’ hidden motives, enabling her to trust Akemitsu Akagami when skepticism surrounds him. Pragmatic and food-driven, she repeatedly proposes marriage to Akemitsu solely to secure his cooking, presenting him with a registration form he habitually rejects.

Kurage navigates sisterly dynamics with a mix of quiet reverence and candid criticism, masking deep concern for their welfare beneath her reserved exterior. Temple elders dote on her for her guileless honesty, showering her with gifts and allowances. This innocence surfaces during a Valentine’s Day incident, where she consumes love-potion chocolates unaffected, perceiving them only as sweets.

A junior high student in her final year, Kurage occasionally yearns for physical and emotional growth to mirror her sisters. Beyond the core narrative, no supplementary media elaborates on her future development.
