Aoba Karabayashi is a member of the idol group HY:RAIN in the Shine Post multimedia project and the older sister of fellow member Itoha Karabayashi. Her given name combines the kanji for "blue/green" (青) and "leaf/plane" (葉), while her surname "Karabayashi" means "T'ang/China" (唐) and "forest" (林).
