Description
Majokko Mirakurun is a fictional magical girl character from the in-universe anime series *Majokko Mirakurun*, featured within the *Yuruyuri* universe. Her civilian identity is Kurumi, an elementary school student with orange hair worn in twin tails and a school uniform adorned with a star-shaped bow. When transformed into her magical girl persona, Mirakurun possesses pink hair styled in high twin tails, wears a witch hat, wields a star-tipped wand, and dons a standard magical girl costume. Her design strongly resembles *Yuruyuri* main character Chinatsu Yoshikawa.

In her own series, Mirakurun's primary mission is to combat the villainous Team Giga Giga – comprised of the evil magical girl Rivarun (also called Rivalun) and the spherical robot Ganbo – restoring peace through love and justice. She remains unaware that Rivarun is secretly her civilian best friend, Raika.

Mirakurun's personality blends purity and obliviousness, avoiding conflict and seeking friendship with Rivarun. However, she exhibits violent tendencies in battle, notably employing her "Mirakurun Hammer" finishing move to brutally crush Ganbo's head, causing graphic injuries. This contrast serves as a satirical element. Kurumi's civilian personality reflects Kyōko Toshinō's traits, being egocentric and manipulative towards friends like Raika.

Key narrative arcs include her apparent death during a moon battle with Rivarun, where they reconcile, though subsequent seasons reveal her survival. Episodes depict her daily life, such as sharing meals with Raika, and confronting Team Giga Giga over schemes like shortening schoolgirls' skirts.

Within *Yuruyuri*, Mirakurun influences character dynamics. Kyōko, her avid fan, creates doujinshi featuring her and frequently forces Chinatsu to cosplay as Mirakurun due to their resemblance. Chinatsu views the anime as a shallow parody. Mirakurun appears across media: clips of her anime feature in episodes, including a film revealing Rivarun's identity; an original segment in Season 2, Episode 6 shows her fighting Team Giga Giga over stolen dodgeballs using deceptive tactics and her hammer; spin-offs like *Reset!*, *Ōmuro-ke*, and *Tensei Shitara Akari dake Slime datta ken* reference her, with Chinatsu's fantasy outfit echoing her design.

Her cultural impact includes merchandise, character songs ("Majokko Mirakurun♪" and "Yonde Mirakurun!"), and thematic elements. The name "Mirakurun" derives from "miracle," while "Kurumi" means "walnuts."
