Description
Gunji enforces the battle game Igura's rules as an Executioner under Arbitro in Toshima, partnered with Kiriwar. His near-inhuman strength, speed, and sturdiness make him a significant threat even to opponents enhanced by the drug Line. He fights using metal knuckle claws.

Standing 195 cm tall, Gunji has long blonde hair often covering his blue eyes and a muscular build extensively tattooed across his torso, shoulders, neck, and forearms. He typically wears a bright red hooded jacket left open, dark trousers featuring a distinctive pyramid belt, and dog tags threaded through his belt loops.

Gunji exhibits low intelligence and acts on violent, spontaneous impulses. He displays extreme sadism during killings yet retains a childlike, fun-loving demeanor. His interests center solely on killing, food, and finding objects or people to "play" with, frequently conflating violence and consumption. He engages in name-calling, using nicknames like "kitty" for Akira, "Shikitty" for Shiki, and "blue ape" for Takeru. A recurring quirk is his confusion of cats and dogs, such as naming a cat "Pochi" or insisting a dog should be called "Tama."

His relationships are antagonistic yet codependent. He and Kiriwar constantly trade insults—Kiriwar calls him "chickie" or "bird brain," while Gunji retorts with "old man"—but remain inseparable partners. He views Arbitro with a warped sense of familial affection, addressing him as "papa" or "Bitro." He shows unexpected rapport with Kau, Arbitro's blinded and mute "pet," interpreting Kau's actions and treating him like a dog.

Gunji participates in public executions of Igura rule-breakers, displaying casual brutality. He relishes provoking fear in victims, stalking individuals like Takeru and Akira, comparing the chase to a game of hide-and-seek where he intends to "broil 'em with fear." He identifies Akira as "prey" and "kitty." In his specific storyline, he captures Akira, subjects him to psychological torture by comparing pain to water torture's monotony, and physically assaults him while demanding he "sing" (scream). This culminates in a non-consensual sexual act before Akira loses consciousness from blood loss, leaving his fate ambiguous.

In other story routes, Gunji continues as an enforcer. He executes a Line user publicly, complains about the "gross" taste of the victim's blood, and collaborates with Kiriwar to apprehend Akira under Arbitro's orders. His narrative presence remains consistent across adaptations, defined by his brutal actions and primal urges.
