Saburota Negishi serves as the Prime Minister of Japan. He is the maternal uncle of Shuu Koibuchi and acts as honorary uncle to Kuranosuke Koibuchi, Shuu's half-brother through their father, Keiichiro Koibuchi. In his political life, Saburota is regarded as a competent figure who engages in serious policy discussions with his brother-in-law, Keiichiro, and conducts himself with the dignity expected of his office. Privately, his demeanor shifts dramatically. He becomes a generally silly person who takes few things seriously and exhibits a strong attraction to juicy gossip. This change is most evident around his nephew Kuranosuke, whom he greets with extreme excitement and enthusiasm, frequently using the affectionate nickname "Kura-pyon." His behavior in these moments resembles that of an exuberant teenage girl, often expressed through the telling of what are described as lousy or "oyaji" gags. Though he also displays some of this excited behavior around Shuu, his highest level of enthusiasm is reserved for Kuranosuke, with an intensity so great he would spring on him regardless of gender. Lacking hair, he has earned the nickname "Kahlkopf," or "Baldhead," used even by family members. He insists, however, that nine percent of his hair remains. He is a married man who, despite his vocal celebrations of pretty girls, remains devoted to his spouse. He first appears in the anime adaptation in Episode 3, titled "Enchanted," and in the original manga in Volume 1, Chapter 4.
