Prince Hydron, crown prince of Vestal and leader of the Vexos, enforces his empire’s dominion over New Vestroia in *Bakugan Battle Brawlers: New Vestroia*. Driven by spoiled entitlement and impatience, he obsessively hunts petrified Bakugan statues, targeting the Six Soldiers of Vestroia—with Drago as his ultimate prize. His arrogance manifests in mocking adversaries and belittling allies like Mylene Farrow and Shadow Prove, masking a desperate craving for approval from his scornful father, King Zenoheld. After the Resistance dismantles the Vexos’ reign, Hydron is exiled, stripped of his title, and forced into the role of Subterra brawler, wielding the Mechanical Bakugan Dryoid. His new mission—collecting Attribute Energies for the Bakugan Termination System—earns fleeting triumphs, such as defeating Baron Leltoy for Haos energy, yet Zenoheld’s relentless disdain deepens his bitterness. Hydron’s moral unraveling accelerates when he deploys a Death Bomb to kill Volt Luster post-defeat, then repeats the tactic against defector Lync Volan after losing to him. These acts of vengeance, born of Zenoheld’s abuse and the Vexos’ crumbling loyalty, culminate in a failed rebellion against his father following torture for incompetence. Temporarily allying with the Resistance via Gus Grav, he sabotages Zenoheld’s Alternative Weapon System. In his final act, Hydron traps Zenoheld in the self-destructing Alternative, embracing death with the vow, “Volt… Lync… I’ll be there… soon.” His alliance with Dryoid persists until both meet mutual destruction, closing his arc from spiteful prince to tormented antihero. His sporadic brawling record—losses to Spectra Phantom and Dan Kuso offset by strategic eliminations—underscores a legacy of ambition and familial neglect. The absence of a surname, shared with Zenoheld, reinforces his identity as a royal weaponized by hierarchy, his story a collision of validation-seeking and vengeance.
