Touji Kunugi is a detective investigating brutal child murders in a future society where physical contact is restricted due to a deadly virus. Approximately 40 years old and divorced, Kunugi initially works with the investigative team on the case. It is later revealed he secretly orchestrates the conspiracy behind the killings. Ayumi Kono uncovers Kunugi's involvement, confronts him, and kills him by slitting his throat after establishing his connection to the crimes.
