Ian originates from the Battle Spirits card "Drian," which reveals his true form. His existence evolves dramatically alongside Kiriga's journey. When Kiriga is chosen by the powerful entity Ultimate-Grand-Woden, Ian transforms into "Star Drian." This evolution progresses further during Kiriga's battle against Denebola, where Ian achieves his ultimate form, "Ultimate-Drian." In the final conflict between Kiriga and Nakes, Ian joins Rei's deck alongside other evolved entities: Ultimate-Chocodra, Ultimate-Sagitto-Apollodragon, and Ultimate-Savior, participating in the decisive battle.
