Balancing multiple part-time jobs—construction labor, carnival booth operator, street food vendor—he prioritizes work over academics, often skipping school. Despite his intimidating aura, he harbors an unexpected softness for small animals and infants, though they shun his attention. His relentless pursuit of formidable opponents fuels his rivalry with Tatsumi Oga, whom he deems a worthy challenger.
